Equipment Accessories

Equipment Accessories
Supplies you can add to your beekeeping tool set to make managing your bees a little easier.
The Extras
From the get-go, we haven't oversold supplies to our customers and made a point to sell high-quality basics. So this is why we don't sell all these supplies as a part of our beginner kits because they aren't essentials. But all of these supplies do have their place and can make beekeeping easier, so give them a look.

Depending on your beekeeping style, some of this equipment can be essential to your hives.
What Do I Need?
Short answer: None of this. Long answer: You will meet beekeepers who swear by using all of this and others who will say don't ever use it. Our opinion is to use what works best for you and your bees. Non of it is so essential your bees will die without it, so you can just experiment.

These supplies can allow you to expand your beekeeping tool belt and be able to sell bees, harvest propolis, extra honey or even pollen. These extras are popular with beekeepers on year 2 or 3.
Smokers, bee boxes, hive tools and frames are all important to a beekeeper, but there are some accessories that are just made to make beekeeping easier and more enjoyable. I mean, where would Flava Flav be without his clock? Not every beekeeper needs every accessory (trust us), but there are a few you should consider using.
Hive stands, queen excluders and frame spacers are all very helpful when managing your bees. Each one has it's advantage and are some of more popular accessories.
